My purpose isn’t to abolish the idea of soulmate as the idea of soulmate is an age-old tradition but it seems like a myth, preached by some loners who aren’t strong enough to rely on themselves to color the path of their own life. A reflection of dependent mindset. Do we really need soulmate? My view is a bold capital ‘NO’. It may disturb some but again these some are those who fall in the well of dependent mindset.
Being single provides space and time to explore one’s potential and intelligence. Some individuals pass away without discovering their true purpose in their transient existence on Earth because they become ensnared in the fragile thread of being with someone.
Since time immemorial, many couples have found the initial stages of their conjugal life full of roses; however, this often gives way to the thorns of bitterness and serious clashes, resulting in nothing but anxiety and discontentment between two souls. This phenomenon occurs every day, in every corner of the Earth. While a few exceptions of blissful souls remain intact till the end, their inner thoughts are often concealed from us. As the saying goes, ‘Sometimes what appears calm on the outside may be raging gales within.’
If a soul is strong enough to lead life alone and finds joy in solitude, it’s a miracle. No matter how much we rely on others, ultimately, it’s our own journey. Nobody will share our unique experiences. A soul exists as an individual entity before inhabiting a human body and returns to unity after death. The concept of a soulmate may be a deceptive notion born out of necessity.
